Saroyan Scarf


I made my mom a scarf for her birthday.

I did it in record time (for me!) of 7 days.

I used the Saroyan pattern by Liz Abanante (Ravelry link).

I used super soft Misti Alpaca worsted weight yarn and the scarf turned out to be awesome and she loves it.

Great pattern, well written and easy to follow. If I make another though, I will choose a yarn that is less soft and drappy and that would hold the stitch defination a bit better to show off the leave edging.

Another thing -- the way the pattern is written was a little confusing to me. There is a row that says to P2tog, bind off three stitches. To me that means to P2tog then to bind off the next three stitches but in this pattern it means to P2tog then to bind off that stitch you just created plus 2 more. It was easy enough to figure out, though a beginner would have troubles with that.
